How to Find Your EA Backup Code
A backup code lets us sign in once to deliver your coins without waiting on an email verification code. Here's exactly where to find one - plus the PlayStation and Xbox equivalents if you're ordering a boost.
What a Backup Code Is
EA protects accounts with two-factor authentication. Every time an account signs in from an unfamiliar device, EA emails a verification code that has to be entered within a few minutes.
That's a problem for delivery: we'd have to message you, wait for you to check your inbox, and hope the code hasn't expired. A backup code solves it. It's a single-use code EA generates in advance that works in place of the emailed one - so delivery starts immediately instead of stalling.
A backup code alone can't do anything. It only works combined with your email and password, it expires after a single use, and you can regenerate the entire list from your EA settings whenever you want. That's exactly why EA created them.
EA Account Backup Code - Step by Step
This is the one needed for every coin order, on any platform.
- Go to myaccount.ea.com and sign in with the EA Account linked to your FC 26 club.
- Open Account Settings.
- Select the Security & Privacy tab.
- Open Two Factor Authentication. If it's turned off, enable it first - backup codes only exist once 2FA is on.
- Find Backup Codes, reveal the list, and copy one unused code.
That's the code you paste into your order page after payment. Keep the rest of the list somewhere safe - you'll need a fresh one for any future order.
Console Backup Codes (Boosting Only)
Coin delivery never touches your console account. But boosting means someone actually plays your games, so they need to sign in to your platform account too - which needs its own backup code.
PlayStation Network
- Go to account.playstation.com and sign in.
- Open Security.
- Go to 2-Step Verification.
- Find Backup Codes and copy one.
Xbox / Microsoft
- Go to account.microsoft.com/security and sign in.
- Open Advanced security options.
- Find Backup codes, then generate or copy one.
PC
On PC there's no separate console account - your EA Account is the only one involved, so the EA backup code above is all you need even for boosting.

FAQ
Why do you need a backup code?
EA emails a verification code on every new-device sign-in. A backup code replaces that step so delivery can start right away instead of waiting for you to forward a code.
Can a backup code be used more than once?
No - each one works exactly once. If a delivery needs retrying, you'll usually have to supply a fresh unused code.
I don't have backup codes. What do I do?
They only appear once two-factor authentication is enabled. Turn on 2FA under Security & Privacy and EA generates the list for you.
Is giving out a backup code dangerous?
On its own it's useless - it only works alongside your email and password, it's single-use, and you can regenerate the whole list at any time.
Do I need a console backup code too?
Only for boosting, where someone signs in to play. Coin delivery runs through the EA Web App and never needs your PlayStation or Xbox login.
What do you do with my details afterwards?
